Wow: I can hardly believe it's been since December that I've sent out a message to you all (not counting the article series, which I know most of you have finished).
But yes, I'm still here, and I have a number of things to tell you about! Mainly, I've been concentrating my "Mastermind" time on two things: my own group, and the "Mastermind Insiders" group -- the Mastermind Group for Mastermind Group leaders (and those who want to be).
In Las Vegas in January, I also gave a talk to the "Affiliate Summit" -- a HUGE multi-track education and "trade show" for online businesses. (How huge? Nearly 5,000 attendees!) My talk was billed as for "intermediate" (read: not beginner) business people, and while I didn't fill the very generously sized room, there was a good turnout and they asked a lot of great questions.
As I've thought more about the Mastermind concept and the incredible success groups bring, I get more focused. That led to the "biggest take-aways" that I left the audience to ponder:
- I believe the fastest and biggest successes come from many smart people working together, and I believe this has always been true.
- The "Mastermind" concept is the easiest way to get the expertise you need to help you succeed.
- The best way to find the perfect group for you is to create your own.
- And it can even be a profit center in itself.
Furthermore, I told them, sharing this "secret" concept of Mastermind groups is why Andrew Carneige asked Napoleon Hill to write "Think and Grow Rich" -- which most successful entrepreneurs have at least tried to read (though the language of this 1937 book is pretty stiff and impenetrable to modern audiences). He wanted people to "get" this because he too believed that working with other people in "Master Mind" groups (it was two words back then) was "the" secret to success. Carnegie wanted to share this concept because he knew it wouldn't hurt his own success for others to know this.
And, I told the audience, that's why I wanted to share it too -- I know that your knowing this "secret" won't hurt my income or success, either, and in fact will make the world a better place. And thus, isn't it a moral imperative that I share it? Especially since my writing is better understood by a modern audience than Hill's?
So after laying all this out (and answering a number of questions), I was bowled over by a question: "So, it's like an MLM...?" (a "multi-level marketing" scheme!)
I think I blinked a couple of times as I absorbed the question and realized that he thought I must be angling to take a cut out of the dues of every Mastermind group in the world.
Nope! Not even if that were possible!
And this was after I had said that I am giving away the basics, and I had "nothing to sell them"!
You have gotten those basics (or are getting them still, depending on when you subscribed to the article series). All you have to do is read the articles that came out by subscribing to this e-mail list.
And it really is that simple.
So, if there's anyone else out there that thinks I'm in this for a cut of your action, I'm not. I really am just giving the basics away. All you have to do is read the articles, and ideally read through all the blog posts on the web site, which fill in some of the details.
(For a list of those posts, go to the Mastermind Source home page and scroll down a bit: they're all listed there for you to read. They're sorted oldest first.)
I don't want anything to do with running your group: I just want you to get the kind of amazing benefits I get from my own group. I don't want a cut of your dues: just get it going and get the benefits! If you have started a group, though, I'd love it if you told me about it! Here's why:
- I want to know if the information here is helpful.
- I want to know what questions you have so I can improve the information here.
- I want to know if you accept applications so that when someone asks me, "Do you know of a Mastermind group for butterfly photographers?" I can point them in the right direction.
You can simply reply to this message to tell me about it. But I certainly don't want a cut of your dues!
I give a lot away for free. If you want or need more, we can talk. I do already have some in-depth reports. The Dues Report is still free, since I said it would be; it goes way more in depth than I thought it would be when I said I'd give it away, and some of the hundreds of people who have downloaded it have decided to voluntarily pay something for it, and that's appreciated. (Read the blog posts to find it!) And I'll outline some of the other resources later, as this is getting long.
And in my next message, I'll talk about how the "Insiders" group fits in here. Registration for the group has been closed for awhile since I've been too busy to accept more members, but I'll be opening it up again soon for a limited number of new members. Stay tuned!
